CHRIS READ - "THE DIARY VOLUME 1.5 (20 YEARS OF THE REMIX)" (REMIXTAPE) (2009)
One iconic hip hop track from each of the last 20 years, remixed paying tribute to the production style and sampling trends popular at the time of the original release. From the James Brown influenced style of the late 80s, to the jazz sampling trends of the mid '90s, to the iconic and distinct sounds of DJ Premier and Jay Dee, all the cornerstones of the genre's development are touched upon.
CHRIS READ - "THE DAIRY VOLUME 1.5 (20 YEARS OF THE REMIX) (INSTRUMENTAL VERSION) (2009)
What you have here is exactly the same as the CD featured above except without the vocals.
CHRIS READ - "THE DIARY (WORLD'S GREATEST RAP MEGAMIX)" (2007)
A chronological mix of the genre's landmark recordings by order of release from 1979-2007. 801 records in the blend!
4BrothersBeats_the phoenix resurrection mixtape(mixed by DjLP2)
Over 1 hour’s worth of great music including funky nuggets from acts like Honey & The Bees, The Dramatics, Anette Poindexter & Pieces of Peace, Creative Source, King Sporty, Love Unlimited, and Zeke Strong & The Ladyettes – just mentioning some of this delicious mixtapes content.
And don’t miss out on LP2’s wicked remix of Marvin & Tammi’s “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” All of it skillfully blended together into one sweet and soulful concoction just perfect ....this joint really speaks for itself! Enjoy!
